Since my last post things have been pretty busy with trips to Adelaide and Sydney and a Solo exhibition in Gertrude Street Fitzroy in a store called Mattt. That is very exciting for me.I have been working away with my paint brush on a series of black and white paintings inspired by some memories I have of going out and some images which have been bouncing around in my head. Hope you like this new set of three square paintings at 12'x12'. This is a sneak peak at some prints which will be available soon in my etsy store and our Australian store called Printspace. They are created to fit into a square frame like one I found at IKEA.
I don't know why I was focusing on punks vs snags. Perhaps it's how we all feel sometimes. It does feel a bit strange thinking about IKEA and punks in the same space.
I have not really planned these pictures. When I started painting them, all I was thinking about was painting people and this is what came out.
